Whats everyones experience with Bayliner?

I have made a deposit on a 2001 Bayliner ciera. I think it is a good boat but I have recently spoken to a friend that said Bayliners have been nothing but problems and I should look at a different brand. Has anyone had this type of experience? Also how does Bayliner stack up to other brand such as four winns, maxxum and sea ray?

I appreciate the help. I would rather lose my deposit than get the wrong boat.
