Too many on the internet to make a informed choice. Whatdoyougot ? Free or ?
 
Mostly some of what's been out for a while, to name a few that I use.

I think there's an iOS version of Jeppesen's Plan2Nav, which uses C-Map (vector) charts.

I use INAVX on Ipad for navigation.
On phone I use the free marinalife app but not for navigating, just for reviewing.
Iphone is too small to use for real nav.
 
That's really what I need is a an occasional review, no blue water boating, just some reassurance we're still in the channel. Lake Barkley has some very long stretches between markers, and the channel looks like a snake on a chart.
 
I ve been using Garmin blue chart now for probably two years, both on my iphone and ipad after using inavX and a couple of others for a while.

Works great, includes active captain data and has very accurate bahamas charts.

On my iPad it is my primary nav source over the furuno nav net.

I use it quite a bit on my iPhone in the tender, including to check out depths in shallow spots here in the Exumas. Has a track recording feature that comes in handy, once I have the track recorded on th phone I can follow it in the boat and record it both on the furuno and my iPad for future use.

The down side is that in an exposed cockpit, you can't leave the iPad (or iPhone) running in the sun or it will shut down after a while.
 
Plan2Nav has very good Bahamas charts as well as Active Captain. The worst thing about phones is the display doesn't hold up in sunlight.

No. Just a clear sky.
You do need to download charts first.
