OK, so its been a few months since anyone has posted here. Hmmmmm? Whats up Tampa Bay boaters?
Got nothing to say? No runs to do, no raft ups? Theres gotta be something going on up in Tampa Bay? Post it here and let it fly.....
 
I'll be headed into Boca Ciega Bay for the Gulfport fireworks on July 4th. 5 mins out of the Marina and I'll have a 1st row seat. They put on a pretty good show and you can see all the local beaches fireworks as well. Hope we dry out a little by then.
 
I have everything ready for the boat (rebuilt engine and drive) and the weather is determined that I will stay on the hard for the 4th. The morning rains are not the norm around here and are ruining all my plans. I might sneak down to my neighbors house and steal his boat for the 4th. He is one of the snowbirds and would never know it. LOL

Hey its just water! It stops sooner or later, I know it stinks when it rains but you make the best of it. Last week we returned form Captiva to Sasrasota in pooring rains and thunder all the way. It made for an intersting trip and time flew by because of the rain. The only positive was the water was as flat and calm as could be. Hopefully the rains will stay away for the fourth. I will be anchoring out at Jewfish Key at the north end of Longboat Key if anyone is intersted. There will be many boats, (Last time we had about 20 on MM day weekend) and its lots of fun.
 
i just met the "leader" of another flotilla and they have 10 other boats coming.

i am thinkingn we are going to head out late on thursday night.
 
Just make sure you save me a good spot! The Admiral wants to check out the boat parade downtown or I would leave Thursday as well. I could care less about the race boats!

Call me Thursday night and maybe I can twist her arm and leave then too!
 
i think our plans are changing in such a manner that we will not be leaving until friday morning.
 
I'm going to skip the 4th craziness and head to South Seas Tuesday after the holiday from Sarasota. Probably have the place to myself with fuel costs and most boaters coming off the holiday.
