I have a 2004 Silverton and was considering some 'preemptive replacement' of my sanitary hoses... how long should they last before becoming permeated? (I know about doing the test to see if they ARE permeated - I was trying to anticipate the need for replacement before things got smelly!)

Thanks,
Mark Gibson

Depends on a lot of things, but usually 5 years is a rule of thumb to start the test. If they are cleaned out well during the winterizing process, they will last longer. If you use them year round, less time. Mine are 6 years old and still OK as of last August. I put in the high end stuff and I'm not getting any odors yet on my 250 DA.

Jim's pretty much on target; 5-7 years would be the general time frame.
