I've been kept busy by people that don't read the weather and find out about well-forecasted storms before going boating.

Some of the follow-up story. I'll keep an eye on it in hopes they update it with 'the rest of the story'. There was a LOT more than just a helicopter involved - and the work one of the Motor Lifeboat crews up that way did was nothing short of incredible. As soon as I see it i the public domain I'll post a link here.

Winter Solstice / Equinox, one of my favorite days of the year!

One month from today, I'll be sitting on the beach in Aruba, trying to decide what cocktail I should have...

That sounds like an abusive employer to me. I hope she filed a grievance with her union rep. Not only is it abusive but its disrespectful also.

fish swims.....fish stops swimming....fish nudges bait with snout......fish sniffs bait....fish decides bait stinks...fish swims away.

In less then a month I will be in Turks & Caicos Islands Club Med resort with my entire family enjoying the sun shine and open bar:)

OHB: have to disagree. there are a lot of boats being sold and used. today everyone wants a trawler and plans to do the loop. on other web sites I see at least one new member per week. many many DIY folks. lots of diesel boats. sadly we don't get any of that traffic.

I'm here. Still have an engine that needs an oil change cause my oil filter order got screwed up.

I was supposed to change the oil today and then winterize both engines but the wife hijacked my plans and now I have to figure out the next time to get this last piece of work done.

Its been so warm in the NE that my no-freeze engine room heater has likely never kicked on...yet, it will. Then we wait for mid to late March to open things up again.

I'll visit Florida a couple times this winter to help cope with old man winter by chasing around little white balls.
