I'm making a filler cushion for the boat and I need a foam cushion 3.5" thick x 17 x 74. I've found tons of places on line but I need to finish the project ASAP for a trip on Friday. I've built everything else I don't even care if I cover the foam until later I just need it in place for this weekend trip. I'm hoping someone knows a local place to buy that is not going to charge an arm and a leg. I know there used to be a shop in Nanuet but I think he went out of business a few years ago.

There used to be a place on Middletown road in Nanuet near the Ambulance building. They sold foam and upolstery.

Can you use a big lounge cushion or foam pillow Wallmart or Costco has em

I think he went out that the one I was thinking of.

As for a pillow I need a specific size and I would like it to be one piece it is a bed for my son I want it to be as comfortable as possible.

PS Rob was that your boat on the lift yesterday? On noticed the props where off I hope everything is OK!

Go over and speak with John Patino at Haerstraw, he may have some material in stock and be able to help you.

I started called him at 8:30 this morning I have him on speed dial.

There is a place on the Northbound side of Rt. 17 in Paramus, next to the cowboy boots and leather place. I believe it is right near the Rt.4 x Rt.17 exchange.

Also, I think Jo-Anne Fabrics has foam.. there is one in Ramsey... In the Interstae Plaza.. Rt 17 Southbound and Franklin Turnpike.

Yeah - Volvo Strikes again!

Yep - Route 17 North in Paramus. If you are coming south - U Turn at the intersection of 17 & 4 - the Fabric store is just before Century Road.

I've been looking for the same item - for the L bench --- closed cell or sealed foam cushion. I'd rather pay for closed cell if it's available. I looked at JoAnne's but they didn't have anything in stock.

I left for work before I got to read the rest of your responses thank you all. I called a friend this morning and he told me of a place in West Nyack Tillmans they had it in stock for $45 which is the cheapest I could find on line. They cut it while I waited. I'm heading up to to boat now to try it out.

Rob I hope you're back in when I get there.

I got replacement mattresses for some of my bunks ordered on the web from a place called Knox Foam in Knoxville TN.
The quality and price beat anything local. They delivered fast and will work frommeasurments or you can send a paper pattern for really complex shapes.
People fight to get the bunks with the foam mattresses and if my kids bring friends that always grab the foam and put their friends on the regular mattress.
