Went to the boat this weekend on Kent Narrows and both ways over the Bay Bridge noticed that there were plenty of sailboats on the bay but not as many motor boats as I expected.
At the marina it was chaos, as every parking spot was full, and it appeared that there were a lot of visitors as well as slip holders. Most boats stayed in their slips and very few went out.
On fuel cost, for the first time I have ever seen it, Mears is 20 cents cheaper that Piney Narrows for diesel at $2.49, and is still giving a 10 cent discount per gallon to slip holders.
This turned out to be a working weekend as we are overhauling the electrics and the water system and unfortunately my three new 8D batteries were still in transit, so we could not get fired up and get out. I still have over 300 gallons of last year's $2.00 diesel and just itching to get going.
