How do I pick a windlass to install?
Something that has me a bit concerned is the drop or lowering ability. Some do not free fall and this could be a problem when you want to drop your anchor in the right spot. Should I be concerned about this? What about horizontal or vertical? The one I have picked out is a Lewmar Pro 700, it seems fine for a 28' boat so the mfg says but it doesn't freefall.
