I have a 3027 santigo and recently devloped a problem in retriving the anchor. The windlass turns but does not retrive the anchor. Lewmar suggested that I let out all the anchor line a nd retrive it hopefully. They said it may not be laying right in the anchor locker which is quite small. Anybody have a similiar problem. It is not the clutch Thanks.

If you have a Maxwell Freedom windlass, you might need the pressure arm replacement kit. Mine didn't look bad either but a little wear and its no good. You can get it at Little Harbor Marine 401 683-7100. Get two they're cheap
i would be willing to bet it is teh tendsioner assembly. billyk is right if it is a freedom series
i think the lewmars are set up differntly with a spring and a steel tension arm. that is where you problem most likely lies.
