Just heard that Babylon had a wind gust to 112 mph. last night. Damage to some boats at the Anchorage, one a friend of mine had a jack stand hole his hull and there were a few more. Hope none of you were affected.

It was extremely windy last night, I wasn't really paying close attention to the forecast but just thought we were supposed to get some rain. Went to the Anchorage about an hour ago to check my boat and everything looked fine. My boat is near the entrance this year so didn't go too far so didn't spot any other boats with issues.

I will have to go check mine. Mine and Walters are near entrance too.

We took ferry this morning to Mohegan Sun.
He had to around little gull island because Plum gut was a mess.
All whitecaps and big swells

Hope it's better going home!

Dave, is your boat to the right once you come in the entrance (along the dock on the canal)?

Yes John his is, he shrinks only down to the rub rail so you should see the colored hull, mine is the next to the little house to the left of the entrance. Just saw this, if I saw it earlier I would of poped down there.
If your around there let me know if all is ok

Thanks

I just went back there, remembered something I forgot to take off the boat. Saw Dave's boat, it's 2 boats away from mine. Everything is fine, yours is good too Walter. I took a drive around more of the marina this time and saw no signs of boats down or anything, just one Sea Ray in the middle grass section looks like its shrink wrap blew off.

Thanks John. Didn't realize you were so close to me.
I am on new London ferry. Conditions are rough here.
They cancelled seajet and put is on car ferry which is extra slow.
With that and going around plum gut this trip is almost 3 times longer!
Waves look to be about 8 feet.

Thanks John,
Looking forward to seeing you New Years Eve

I went down to check on the boats today after the windy night. Everything was fine with mine and I didn't notice any damaged boats along the canal.
It was pretty bad by my house last night though. It was garbage night so there were pails all over the street and pieces of trees all over.

We just got home from a trip to Fla and found our grill blew over. Must have been some wind. Seems undamaged, just a big mess of crispy steak fragments everywhere and had to figure out where all the plates and grates went back to.

Went to boat. All was fine.
Went by my dock and the wind flipped my picnic table over my dock box.
It was all tied together but wind got under table, flipped it, pulled lock off dock box, destroyed gas grill.
Must of been pretty windy to do that
