I am not using my Winter Storage on my slip in the Anchorage Yacht Club in Lindenhurst NY.

So I am renting out a winter spot on land or in water. It will fit upto a 30 foot boat. I'm asking $550.00 for the spot.

Haul, Shrink and Winterization is not included. This is just for a spot on land.

If interested contact me at 516-655-7520

Funny. I was just about to post the exact same thing for a friend of mine.
I won't now and let the first person who needs it go to you.
But after yours is gone if anyone else needs please contact me here.
Thanks.

Are you allowed to do your own winterization and bottom painting in the spring?

Kevin,
Just an FYI, you don't have to limit the size on land, of course a 100' boat would raise eyebrows, but a 35' or 40' would not. Afterall, with the right beam, a 40' boat could fit in your slip, hence the land for such would be okay!

Zane, as Dave said yes. Also, if you needed to bring another contractor in, you can as long as they are insured and show proof of insurance to the office.

Why is Kevin even limiting it to a 30' boat? His boat is 42'

I stay in every other year and this is the year to come out. However the yard I previously used changed hands and I am turned off by the new owner. I can be messaged through boatered .

BTW, if you aren't a slip owner you're not supposed to do your own bottom painting. I did mine one year and they weren't happy about it.

I think that only applies if you get the storage from the office or the commercial unit.
If you get it from a slip owner then I would think you have the same rights as them.

Could be. I decided once I was done I didn't really want to do it again anyway so that's the one thing I have them do :)

This is the winter storage that goes to my slip on M -Dock

last year I used it for my 42 footer and the office billed me out for the extra 12 feet over the 30 allowed by the bi-laws.

Weather you rent or own, you can do your own bottom painting, just need to put a tarp down when you paint, I always use my shrink wrap or I grab a piece out of the dumpster while I paint my boat.

John,
We use a guy that charges 2 bucks or maybe 3 bucks a foot. You supply the paint.
