I was thinking of leaving my boat in freash water for the winter, i live in Philadelphia and i have an I/O, what would i have to do to it, to have it stay in good running condition for the summer,

I/O's and in water storage don't always go together so well.

Ice and the rubber bellows don't play so well.

Your best bet is to have it hauled.

Check your insurance policy, I bet they require it to be hauled.

Yeah, I'd rethink that as Jonathan said. There are a lot of benefits to hauling it. You have an opportunity to clean the bottom, replace zincs, and generally inspect everything. The outdrive and bottom get a break from being in the water, which reduces fouling and lessens the chance for blisters. Plus you need to the haul anyway for outdrive maintenance, so just keep it out at that point.
