Came across this in the Lake Cumberland forums and thought it was rather unusual and amusing.

Apparently this is intentional, this guy "stores" his boat by tying it up to the trees and lets the water drop away as the lake is lowered for the winter. It will refloat when spring brings the water back up.

The guy must be very trusting because the shoreline of Cumberland is virtually uninhabited, no houses are anywhere near the shoreline, they are all on top of the surrounding hills several hundred yards away from the water. Anyone could ransack this boat and nobody would know.
