So, I bought this boat a few months ago. It has a diesel engine, and this is the first time I've had a diesel engine. I feel woefully undereducated on basic maintenance, and a little concerned that I could screw up the winterization with disastrous consequences.
Should I plan to spend my last boating weekend before haulout doing the winterization myself (learning what I need to know), or should I enjoy the boat and pay a pro this year, and do my learning over the winter?
