Wire type question

I had to replace some wiring on my boat trailer and I used some tinned #10 I had left over from an AC project on my Mainship. Afterwards I got to thinking and wondered if that type of wire was ok for the 12V systems on the trailer?

Cant beat tinned wire... 10 should be fine

10 gauges is overkill. Most use 16 gauge, which is a lot cheaper. If it were me, I would save the 10 gauge for something else.

In any case, use heat shrink connectors for longevity.
