Spent two days out on the river, Saturday in Croton, we go hit with one storm, Sunday in Bowline, the storm went to our east. Lots of laughs, good food and fun with our friends from the "resort"...
same here. it was the first time I stayed in BL so late on a Sunday and it was worth every second. we ended up going back to the "resort" so the admiral stay happy.
Well I can't top that I only spent the last to weeks Cruising around Europe I just returned this morning. I think I need a vacation I'm beat from all the sight seeing! There is just too much to see in two weeks trying to cram it all in is hard work. It was a great trip I would recommend to anyone considering such a vacation.
I'm just hoping I can adjust to the time zone quickly.
Great time once I was finally invited to join the group. Haha. Dave-Sounds like a great trip. Next time you need to plan them in the fall so you don't miss out on Bowline Raft ups.
Was it hot out? If it's cool I don't need to run Benny. I also run it much less now that I added a third 8D battery two 8Ds last a long time!
I'm looking forward to heading up to the boat this weekend but it sounds like no one is going to be there I hope Hank will be there or it will seem like a ghost town.
It's not the wallet that's the biggest issue I have never taken two weeks off before I have my hands full just dealing with the issues from being away I expect to be busy rest of the week. I was thinking of heading down to CC later in the season maybe Labor day or something. Have a great time I will see you when you return. If I finish work early I may see you up at the boat one evening before you leave
Hope to make it up there today. I haven't seen a weather report since I have been home I hope you have great weather but it sounds like you have reason for concern. Be safe and have fun!
It was a very nice week and weekend. We picked up Ilene's new CLK350 Cabriolet during the week and spent Sunday at Bowline with everyone. It was a great time after we figured out the anchors.
Hogan, I hand the anchor Natzi job back to you!
Glad to here you enjoyed your vacation Dave. I am sure it was fantastic.
I will miss Bowline this weekend but will enjoy here in the channel club. My props were banged twice in the river with in the channel coming in. Monday I have a diver to remove the props and take them to scan and reduce pitch and diameter. Hopefully it makes a difference.
Props are too big. Rpm was confirmed in WOT. When I spoke to Atlantic propeller in NJ last year and gave them all the information they said this kind of props are for 1000 HP engines. ODVAR said the same thing, every website that has the option (like boat diesel) to enter boat data and get prop size is implying on much smaller props.
What are you running now? I don't really remember I thought I had 30 x 32 but it's been a long time since I have even thought about it so I'm probably way off. Doesn't it take into account HP if so then mine would be different anyway, I only have twin 420s they do the trip well.
