Hi all,

We have a 1987 Chap 198XL. The cleats and bow light have a wood grain stick on them that's kind of peeling. Do they make replacement stickers for this type of thing?

thanks!

Use shelf liner and replace it annually? Probably impossible to get the real thing... but who knows?

The only things I can think of are:

You might be able to make your own inserts out of Formica/WilsonArt countertop laminates. I would not expect an extended life, however, ad they are designed for indoor use, and UV will likely damage them given enough time.

You might want to contact your "local neighborhood" vinyl sign shop. They may very well have access to the basic material, in which case you can cut to fit... The vinyl may last longer, but, still, I would not expect "indefinite" lifespan. More like 5 or 6 yrs max.

The original inserts were likely applied by the cleat/fixture manufacturer, not Chap, but you might contact Chap for a referral to the mfgr, who -might- have stickers ( or sheet ) available for sale.

Not a lot of help, I know. Good hunting!

I'd simply clean off what's left of the "stickers" and forget about it.

But Willie, then the cleats and bow light won't have that sought after "natural" look!

Like woodgrain trim on a cleat or navigation light is "natural"???

A small paint brush and some brown/tan paint would work almost as well.

Go to a local automotive body shop. I got a nice sized sheet of left over wood trim decal for a Jeep I had a few years ago...needed it for my new gas cap lid/door.

A "woodgraining kit" from the home center.

I was thinking Ford Country Squire station wagon, but the Jeep thing will work.
