Hi All,
I've been searching the forums to try to find confirmation on an idea I've thought of, regarding the use of a low watt genset and an inverter to power a 16K BTU A/C. Because of the surge current, that really nice, light Honda EU2000 can't hack it. What about using an Inverter to help with the Surge?
Xantrex Freedom Inverters have a feature called AC Load Sharing. Specifically, it states that if your GenSet can't handle the load, the intverter will kick in to handle the load. Has anyone tried this??

I'd just love to use the light weight EU2000, instead of the 3000 which is way too heavy to be moving around on the cockpit. Does anyone think this is a bad idea?
Cheers,
Dan
