I wonder if the LIYC took it off or maybe Craigslist did because the LIYC was beneath their standards... They are at their all time low in membership.
 
Can't wait to go in there and buy the place at the bankruptcy sale!
 
It would make a great waterfront resturant......with overnight docking..............COOOOOOL
 
Maybe even tear it down and build condos. Condo Marina.
I hear taxes are high, but I am sure if faced with a boarded up building, the town will budge!

As an outside observer it seems that by being open for the short summer they loose the opportunity to build camaraderie which is the only purpose of a private club.

First class waite staff and bartenders.

Complete retards and misfits on the board of governors. The place will never be the same.

Well said.

Too bad to see its decline as it truly is a nice place and had even more potential. But the new members with huge egos and no experience who have recently joined and somehow made it to power have screw the LIYC up royally.

That happened to my former YC too. Went bankrupt after a bunch of fools with no real buisness experience screwed it up. The big hat and white shoes dosent mean you know anything about running a club.
 
I really hope they miss a payment or something. Buy the place for pennies on the dollar and only rent slips to cool people!

They will probably get a bailout from Owebama!
 
Some of the reasons they are being kicked off...

Users may flag postings they believe to be in violation of craigslist guidelines, by clicking on one of the flagging links at the upper right corner of each posting: Nobody wants to go to the LIYC.

Miscategorized - wrong category/site, discusses another ad, otherwise misplaced - A poor description of what a Yacht CLub Should be..

Prohibited - violates craigslist Terms of Use or other posted guidelines
spam/overpost - posted too frequently, in multiple cities/categories, or is too commercial - They are desperate for members. So they keep posting and posting..

Free classified ads receiving a sufficient number of qualified negative flags are subject to automated removal. Well anyone who would go to an LIYC open house from Craigslist would put up a reg flag for false advertising...
 
or there's a couple of jerks that likes to flag anything they think is miscategorized
