Anyone with a Yamaha sterndrive encountered this problem. I sent this to CaptKen the yama. expert, but maybe someone else has had this problem also. I have a 5.7 engine, the first lauch this season no forward or rev. shift. Replaced shift cable all related parts move free with outdrive off. When reinstalled and ready to adjust cable stiff and can't move by hand or when linkage installed. Removed outdrive several times can't find problem.
