Cruising the Severn River yesterday we saw a number of boats on the sanbar at the entrance to Yantz Creek. It looks like a great place to pull up an enjoy the small beach.

I appreciate any info on water depths through the channel and on the back side of the sandbar. We draw less than 36". Can we make it in there?
 
Yes, you should be able to make it in there. We have been out of Yantz creek on our friends sailboat which draws about 4'(his boat is at the community dock that is up the creek a little from the sandbar) The sandbar gets a little crowded on weekends tho. Boats regularly beach on both the front & back side of the sandbar. I have seen a 42' Searay Sundancer beached on the back side - I think they draw more than 4'.
