YUUUUCK!!!!

I used to work at the orangetown plant. My first week on the job a force main broke in the mountain behind piermont and we had to shut down the pumps in Nyack. I sat there and watched 2 guys throw pool chemicals into the pit as they opened the valve to release the flow into the river. I was mortified. I was then given a big pair of rubber boots and was told to go out to the site of the break. It was nasty. we stood there in a foot of raw sewage. Not long after I realized I'm better off in an office. I lasted just over a year. I will say there are some paeople there that were aparently immune to the smell and sight of sewage, and without them we would be up to our eyeballs in SH$$.
