Miami to Watts Bar Lake, TN

You're in waters I've known as home at different points in my life. Brings back many memories. Thanks for sharing!

Just made the turn north into Mobile Bay and stopped at Grand Mariner Marina. Warning: Name are not what you they appear! Rustic but nice restaurant and good power which is all what i care about. And cheapest fuel so far since miami at $3.95

I have all the videos in a playlist :

The river system is going to be a interesting run. Hope y'all can video some of the locks you will pass through!

We will. I think we have 17 locks to go…

Last night for the boat in salt water in 55 years, afaik it has always been in sofl except a brief stint in Ga.

I shared your playlist with some folks in Gulf Shores and a Nasa buddy who lives in North Alabma and also runs a cabo SF out of Orange Beach.

Have you been through the locks on the TN before? Either Wilson or Joe Wheeler used to be notorious for holding up recreational boaters for towboats.

I heard a law was passed that limited the time rec boaters could be held. Not sure if that's true.

I've only been through Wilson and Wheeler. Wilson was the worst. It's been under repairs in recent times. Wilson to wheeler locks are the shortest apart in distance for the whole system I believe.I do remember something about the time, but do not know any factual data.

The boat will get to experience so winter cold as well. I guessing that will be also be a first! The lake will be pretty quite during the cold season and sitting there with a hot cup of coffee watching the sun come up will make me very envious! Fall cursing when the leaves change colors will be spectacular.I think y'all are going to have a woderful time in Tennessee.

I think you're right. I remember we just got the tow put together and it was time to break it down again. 🤨

Having lived in Pensacola for 10 years I’ve enjoyed many days boating in that area. Kept my boat at Mac’s Marina located off th end of the runway at the Naval Air Station, watched many Blue Angels practice shows on Tuesday and Wednesdays. Thanks for bringing back fond memories

Great video, but is that Naomi on the shore watching you go by--without her??
Or have you hired a videographer to follow along? :)

No she flew back to miami from Panama City to go to a big country concert with friends and flew back yesterday arriving at the same time

Spent a couple of hours of quality time tracking down a chiller circulation pump last night…. Turned out to be the march pump capacitor. Luckily I remembered having a used motor somewhere saved from the Charmer days 12 years ago.

The motor was bad but the capacitor was good!

AC was back on by midnight

Demopolis is not where you want loose air!

Summer in Alabama is NOT where you want to loose air! 🥵🥵🥵🥵

Yesterday brought us to a very nice anchorage on the TennTom in Warsaw Al. on Gainesville lake. Deep into an oxbow, wide with a few homes. Very peaceful.

Nice to see you caught Alabama's "white cliffs" at Epp's, Al. in your video.

Stopped in Columbus MS last night, nice little marina close to town. Used the courtesy car to resuply a few things including a small fridge as the big Whirlpool French door had been acting up for a couple of days. Freezer was nice and cold but fridge temp had been creeping up. Put the new one in my workshop (a small den), moved the stuff that needed to be really cold in there… and of course this morning the big one shows 38 degrees!
