If so did all the big slips fill up yet? (I need 14'5"). I'm wondering what my chances are for next weekend, although hard to gauge depending on the forecast.

Next weekend, 8,9,10, the Great South Bay Power Squadron will be there for our Spring Picnic. Not sure how many slips will be taken, but more than normal I'd suppose.

I called friday after noon.... only had 2 14' slips open....

I ended up in cedar beach...

This is not good !!!!!!

Rob,
I knew you were at Cedar, in like the same spot you were last time, with those same SeaRay's by you. We went to Hemlock Cove Saturday and as I was passing Cedar, I said that looks like Rob. Cedar was empty!

Saw Don today, he looked like he was in pain.....but he always looks like that!

Don, Walter, and I were in Anchorage hanging out.

Why not happy, Cedar is not bad. May go to Cedar next weekend, unless everyone is going to Watch Hill?
 
Dave........Id rather sit in hell......with glass in my eyes....then have back pain !!!! It really SUCKS.....but I did notice that after I left you and Walter I started to feel better.

Rob...... how did you ( NON resident) get into our Cedar Beach ????

Did you have anything to do with the delay of moving the J/B buoy ?????

Sean, thanks for the head's up. That doesn't sound good as far as my chances...

Rob, yeah, this isn't good, it's only early June! I wanted to get to Watch Hill more this year but the way things are going we'll only get in by taking some time off to get there early or stay after Sunday. Might be anchoring out more this year.
 
Not sure what is going on with the reservations… I wish I had the hi-tech stuff so I could have showed all the open slips in real time. I got to WH on Friday around 7 PM and there were a bunch of slips open on D-Dock. In fact one slip that looked about 18’ stayed open all night and most of the next day. We had a 7 boat group that arrived at different times during the day. One of my friends with a 13’ 11” that was in a large slip on “A” land moved over to an open slip on D and had a few inches to spare. On Saturday D did fill up. For boats 13 and under there were plenty of slips. I was in the old B77 now the new B11 and had an open slip to my port the whole weekend.

We were in Hemloc cove too from Saturday and stayed overnight until Sunday. Cedar was literally empty on our way back home on Sunday around 2 pm.

What is the name on your boat? I pulled into Hemlock around 11 and stayed until 5 or so. We were as far east as you can go in cove. Like it over there. Boat was in 15 feet of water and only 50 feet from beach. It would swing to 5 feet of water and I could jump off to take Dog to beach.
 
WTF.... I called and they said only 3 slips ... d corner ( yuck )

and 2 on B pier double yuck....

WTF.... and this was friday...... So now we need moles??

Rob,

Maybe they did get reserved and with the pending storms that were just north late Friday, people bailed out. But in general the place was barley half full and D had a few empty slips on Friday night past the 9:00 deadline for check-in. That’s when my friend (Bobbie Doll) moved his boat from A land over to D.
 
On Friday night, my wife and I did eat in the new restaurant and the food was good. They are working out some service kinks, but all in all I was happy. The prices were comparable to the Casino at Davis Park. I think that the place is really shaping up with all the current repairs and the future plans. The problem will be getting slips.
