Not real bad, but depends on the day, gets worse as it gets warmer. This past weekend we had a very pleasant surprise, none that I noticed. But there was a consistent breeze all day. That breeze helped me get a nice sun burn…… ouch ! I did not feel hot, but the sun was powerful.

We got to Hemlock cove around 4 pm on Saturday. Did you see the blue sailboat? We were anchored right beside them. We usually anchor to the far east side of the cove all the time. The name of our boat is www.knot.at.work.calm. What kind of boat do you have and what is the name of your boat? We did see another boat there with 2 couples (2 older men and 2 older women). Wasn't sure if that was your boat. We will definitely be back in Hemlock cove next weekend if the weather allows it. Just love that place!

I think i saw u fueling at ss3 the thursday of memorial day weekend ...

U came out to fuel and pump out for the trip to zachs the next day ???

I was sitting there like a lost dog ... waiting for friends to show .... ( no comments from the peanut gallery )

Nice boat... Does the fuel vent always weep fuel when ur filling ?

That was us. Why didn't you say hello? You've got a very nice boat yourself. Didn't notice the fuel vent weeping. It's our first refueling since we took delivery (SS3 sold it to us with full tank of diesel gas).

I know what you mean by friends or even family you invite and not show up. It's their loss not ours. Next time let's just hook up, tie up our boats together and enjoy ourselves. Lisa cooks the best "pancakes" if you feel like staying for breakfast. Any plans this weekend?

AS of right now our plans are in FLUX!!! I want to try and finally get into watch hill....

But my wife has other plans ... so we will see....

Over the weekend someone showed me how to make scrambled eggs in the microwave. No more pan and cook top... beat the eggs add milk.... put them in a bowl and microwave for 2 mins. stir the bowl and run mic for another min or two depending on how u like em.... They came out great....

Sounds good! Anyway, here's another microwavable recipe....we buy this pre-cooked "Angus" hamburger in Costco...heat it up for 1 minute in the microwave.....add american cheese and heat it up for an another 30 seconds.....put it on a toasted potato bread with catsup and whoola.....you got yourself the "best" hamburger in town for less than 2 minutes. We do have a grill on board but we do mostly steaks on it. This weekend we might grill "ribeye" steak for dinner.

I saw the blue sailboat. I have a 34' Cruisers, named CurrentSea. I was as far east as you can get. There was a older formula next to me anchored front and back. We are thinking of Cedar this weekend, may sleep in marina Friday night, then go early AM to Cedar and stay over-night. I guess we could anchor out in Hemlock too. My problem is my new dog. I have to be close to beach to take him off as I don't have a dink.

Lost dog, no comments, but watch out for Walter, he is still trying to replace Don's Dog. I do microwave eggs all the time. Plus if you get the pre-cooked bacon, u nuke that and the eggs and throw it on a english muffin with some cheese ands its great.

Tom, I will have to try that burger trick. Didn't know you could buy pre-cooked burgers! I use no open flames on boat anymore. When we do grill we use the george foreman. Electric is the way to go.

If we do meet up in Hemlock cove, we will definitely let you try the pre-cooked "Angus" burger with blue cheese. I'm sure you're gonna love it! If you stay overnight then we'll grill some "ribeye" steaks for dinner too with mashed potatoes and corn to go with it.

Hey, Rob, I've been trying to tell my kid to set up a grill on the beach and dinghy around for orders. No luck - I think he prefers living off my dime rather than earning his own! (I guess that makes him smart.)

Steak and potatoes, now your speaking my wifes language. I am a beer and burger guy.
Ok, lets see how it goes. We have never slept on the anchor, I don't trust my anchor. Plus with the dog now, I will have to be near beach. Unless, you want to try and go to Cedar as well. Non resident is like $65 for a night.

Hey Rob, I heard all the big slips were reserved by noon today... We had already decided not to go this weekend, but looks like we didn't have a choice anyway. We'll try again in 2 weeks.
 
Which blue sailboat are you guys talking about? The guy around the block from us has a beautiful new Hunter.......my guess is it was him.

Nope, not kidding Rob. Tammie's boss was planning to go tomorrow but one of his friend's went ahead around 11am this morning. When he got there plenty of slips were open but he heard someone saying only 4 slips were left and he asked and everything else was reserved. So their group decided to go today instead of Friday and reserved the rest of the open large slips and went after work (they all have beams around 14'). So as far as I heard from them there's nothing left. Maybe you'll luck out and someone will leave tomorrow or the info I got was wrong somehow, but it doesn't sound good for you.

I haven't finished installing my new holding tank so we had to skip the trip this weekend anyway. I'm working on it now, should be done by Saturday morning, we're planning to spend Saturday night anchored out and then will fish on Sunday.
