But seriously, many of us know each other, maybe not hang out often, but this forum sort of makes you feel you know members, even if you have not physically met them. If you have an Anchor meaning you are a subscriber and help fund this great forum then we can all send private e-mails to each other with our cells. This may be the best way for now and I think it would be a great idea.

Only once and I was pissed… My fault completely, I was at some FI destination and came back to my boat from the beach with one of those soft coolers with pockets… While dumping ice and water out, I watched my cell phone in S L O W M O T I O N…. slide out of the pocket into the water never to be seen again… My reflex was frozen…

Now another question, how may here dropped themselves in the water with their cell phone in their pocket……

Ok folks,

I don't think this warrants a new thread. So, i've learned that just as important as wave height is how fast those waves are rolling, or the amount of seconds (interval) between waves. So, out of the sites i've been looking at i'm not sure how to read that information....or maybe its not on the sites im looking at.

Is there a tutorial on how to get this info & how to read it?

thanks,
dan

Wow....some people smarter than me came up with those calcs!

Looks like NY Harbor sea's are going to be calmer than expected. However, we now have some drizzle in store! It's ok though im just taking some friends from our Marina in Flushing over to City Island for Brunch! Reports for the Sound are now 2-4 feet! We'll have some fun!

Thanks guys, and i'm hoping i learn enough to work my way over to the South Shore so i can meet some of you!

later,
dan

You're getting to know me too well. Yeah, I did exactly that. (Scary!), but then I figured that it would just get deleted if not acceptable, so what he h*ll.
