W re in Bimini for the week end... And yes the big ugly red boat is there anchored out with its red catamaran launches going back n forth, but no wake issues yet.
N the plus side there are now 5 pairs of buoys marking the newly dredged channel, 10' MLW was the shallowest I saw
Browns marina is pretty nice, every thing else was booked so we tried it for the first time. Nice docks, good power... The bar (Big Johns ) is nice too...
The seem to be some activity going on with a coupl roof new restaurants and shops that were open. Hopefully it will stay this way
Customs is still the same price, $300 for bigger boats, plus extra if you have more than a number of pax on board, altogether for 8 of us it was $400. They are now located at the big game marina, immigration is still in the old office by the gov dock.
This is the busiest I ve seen Bimini, but I usually don't come here on big week ends.
