No, Dave, it wouldn't happen "anywhere". At most marinas, once management knew, they boater would be reprimanded and/or booted out. MOST marinas won't stand for such behavior.
 
Hogan I didn't report this to management I think my wife made her point very clear to the guilty party remember he was a guest (however he is also a boater and should have known better) and I'm not looking to start a war with my dock-mates being I happen to like most of them.

I only mentioned this here to see if I was over reacting to the situation which clearly I was not.
 
I'd tell the owner of the other boat. Maybe he would take care of things?

I plan to but I choose not to make a scene in front of his friends. I don't think that whould have gone over well.

At this point I will let this go and move on but thanks for the feed back I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that would be upset and offended by this.
 
Now that you mention it was mid-day, I think you under-reacted.
Only a filthy pig would do something like that.

I love the tent campers in the parking lot and the bikers that hang at times in the g dock pavilion.

We miss some of the SPBM boaters but the "drama" we can sure do without.
 
So let me get this straight, SPBM is the only place that guys are peeing of the docks...?

Leigh, read the whole thread, it was in broad daylight ONTO someone's boat... in full view of two 15 YO females.
 
I'm not negating what happen but I'm moving on more importantly Rommer how are you doing?
 
I agree it was wrong during the day in front of people but I've seen members peeing at night off the docks, and I'm sure alot of peeing going on at haverstraw in the parking lot when bar is open. Not to say any of it is right. Take a walk and go to restrooms or use the boat's head that you are visiting.

I would have grabed a hose and soaked the *******, hopefully he would have fallen in.
Then called to his host and asked him to clean his **** out of the water.
 
It could also be classified as a sex crime, showing your junk to 15 YO girls is looked down upon in the criminal justice system...............

D Dock used to be called 'Drunk' dock. I wonder why.
 
Did you read the thread Wayne? How about the exposing of ones gentials in front of two young ladies in broad day light?

Would you feel the same way if your young daughter was the victim here? I think not.

I think this is a bit ridiculous Ben. Speak to most members of the Marina and most will agree we all like where we are for similar reasons. Friendly dock mates great location and views. Fairly well maintained grounds, I could keep going on but I think you get the idea. Price is certainly a big factor, if the price was more in line with Haverstraw I think they would loose a lot of business. I believe you get a lot for the money here in fairness there are things I don't like about Haverstraw as well I won't start a list here no need I think it's clear we all have reasons why we stay where we are and still from time to time things will go wrong and we will bitch I'm guilty as charged but this was an unusual case that could have happened anywhere I just hope it doesn't happen again.

Wow. Talk about blowing something out of proportion. Was it stupid and uncalled for? of course. But get a grip, it certainly was not exposing oneself or a sex crime or anything of the sort. If this happended at any other marina, I wonder if the opinions would be the same. I also golf and it is not unsual for somebody to take a leak behid a tree and yes, there are women there too. The circumstances are not the same but you should get the point. It was unfortunate that young ladies saw this but unless i am mistaken it was not intentional and the guy apologized. And yes, I would be mad if my kids saw this and Dave had every right to blow off steam. But you guys are out of line with your responses.
 
Girls aside, the guy took a piss off the dock on someone elses boat in broad daylight.
He obvioulsy has no respect and if I saw him at my marina, my responce / action would be the same.
