pier 3 - 319 . another issue I have not adressed yet is trailer storage. I have a place here in columbus but not sure I want to drag the thing back here empty.
I was in Marblehead yesterday, still alot of ice around the beach at East Harbor. Our channel (by anchors away) still had some floating ice. Won't be long now, suppose to be 50 degrees and sunny on Saturday. Planning on waxing/bottom painting this week/weekend. Still too much ice for me, but maybe next week. I don't think the gas docks are open yet, I haven't seen any with signs up.
I don't think anchors away has their slips in yet. The state marina next door had them sitting in the parking lot yesterday but hadn't started putting them in when I looked last. I'll be back up there this afternoon or tomorrow a.m. and I'll check again. Try to take some pics too.
dritter,
I was a Anchors Away today for a bit. About 1/2 of the slips are in and ice free! Only saw one other boat in the water, though. Beautifull day up there, everyone was out getting ready for the season. Is it too early to say boating season is here? The gas dock is not open yet.
kindredspirits,
The boat is going in today. I should have full tanks so gas will not be a problem. I talked to some charters and they are going to start tomorrow. Said lake was ice free. I have to run to baypoint so I will take it slow.
I will be taking it slow. If I see any it the area I will not try it. I will leave it until another day. They said east of Cleveland had ice. I just saw the western end of the lake is 41.
has anyone put in ceadar point yet? We spent 4 hours running around a local lake today in the ski boat. Have not touched the searay yet maybe next weekend I will put he batteries back in and start cleaning it up.
Hi Joe,
We went for a drive to CP yesterday...not a boat to be seen in the water. There were like 6 over at Venetian. The water is way up in level over last year. The dock ramps actually go up instead of down...hopefully it stays that way
thats good news in october I barely had enough water to make it from the causeway over to cedar point the fish finder kept reading 3 ft and under and actually grounded (soft mud) a bit once. I think at this point we are shooting for the second week of may but might move up to the first week.
we made the treck to the marina today. Still no boats they didn't pass the fire code for something didn't go into it to much. But the long and short of it no boat until it passes the fir inspection. Did pick up the info packet and sticker. But they could not make the passes they didn't have the cards. At this point yhey expect to be passed by next weekend. At this point I think I will plan on putting in the 8th or 9th and staying the weekend for the park opening.
