Countdown...

When that counter gets to zero the spring striper run will have started. Whoopee. I hope the ice is gone by then.

This has to be one of the worst Winters on record and they are talking about another storm mid week next week. This is going to make Spring feel really good when it shows up.

Tic Toc I can't take much more of this snow. I can't wait till spring. This hasn't been a relaxing winter. Had a heating system fire in my house this past sunday still dealing with the cleanup not much relaxing around here.

that's not good.
was it a wood stove?

Gas forced air. More of a smoke issue then fire. Just a heads up change your filter if you are doing any work on the house. Topic for NBR.

I installed a wood stove insert this December.

Heats the whole house, and the Government is giving me back $1500!!!!

Thanks Obama.

Hi Jonathan!
I have a few trees to be cut down you can have all of them free just cut them down. ahahahahaha

Guys, sorry to burst your bubble but I just watch the news today and the latest news story stated that Summer was canceled due to snow!..

The best thing that could happen to us would be an early spring. Mike, Please start early talking to the weather gods.

Ah, Im starting to like this weather. All this snow looks so pretty. Dont have to cut the grass or worry about the leaves. Cant paint the house. This should have happened sooner.... Oh wait a minute, I DRANK HOW MUCH TODAY! No wonder ......

Hogan,

Now that you have had the Trojan for a year, how is it working out for you?

Scott, one of the reasons we got it was so that, according to the admiral, our older son would spend more time on it with us (as he has his own cabin). Last summer, he spent only a handful of nights with us, preferring to stay home and, well, you know....

Since his cabin has an AC vent in it, it stays pretty cool and has become a great beer storage area!

All in all, we are really enjoying it. We spend every weekend and a lot of weekdays on board, so the extra space is very nice. It's a great, comfortable boat, with all the amenities, and plenty of room. Having a second head is a real plus...

I am looking forward to spashing in a couple of months - this coming summer, I'm planning on staying on it Thur nite - Mon nite every week, and taking our usual two week vacation (and maybe a second one week vacation).

Hogan my son comes to the boat all the time but only when I'm not there. I have heard from dock friends that it looks like he is enjoying my boat at least as much as me:)
I'm glad to hear you are enjoying the boat there are very few boats out there I could see moving up or down to, I guess it's like Momma bears boat it's just right. If I could spend half as much time as you are planning to be on board, I would be happy.

I wish everyone a great up coming season.

Don't rush Spring. There has to be quite a snow cap upstate and in the mountains. If all of this crap melts at once, alot of people are going to be hurting. All it's going to take is for one of these storms to come in with warm temperatures instead of snow, and look out. We almost lost Freedom to the 2005 flood and I hope it all gets a chance to melt slowly.

Although rainfall intensity did not approach record rates, 3 or more inches of rain falling on snow-covered terrain combined with daytime temperatures of 50 degrees Fahrenheit or greater at several locations in the Neversink River basin produced significant runoff.
