You should really not be concerned about this at all - below about 1,000 rpms you are going to have some vibration from a 4 stroke 4 cyl diesel and especially below the 800 rpm range. This is not a problem at all it is just the nature of the beast.

Consider shipping the boat only part way then cruising back home. I think you will save a lot not trucking it across NJ and NY.

You definitely do no want to pay to ship into New York. The tolls and fees will be very costly.

IF you want to get the closest to your final destination, take it to Liberty Landing and launch it there.

They are very good on boat handling there and have a very good facility for it.

Good advice poasted about not having them ship into NY. Bryan Has his brought into Jersey then he took it home from there.

I am looking at jersey option. Issue is a lot of marinas are damaged there.
Then there is storage fees.
I have to close on boat by end of year.
I have free storage in AYC.
Weighing all but I feel most comfortable bringing it all the way home for the extra cost.

You may want to contact Svennson Boat Transport. They have been hauling Regals to NY from Florida since 1999. They have transported my boat many times and always do a great job. They have hauled every Regal bridge boat sold in NY!
 
They have been called and on top of my list.
Issue is pods.
Cost with pods on is $2k more.
But to take off, crate and reinstall may eat that up.
So I am discussing with all involved.

looks as if something good came from Sandy, She's a nice lookin' boat for sure ! Put her in the water in Norfolk and take a Vacation trip home... :)
