Currentsea is back!

Thanks. Reasons I got this were simple. Bow rider idea was starting to add up. Boat, trailer, new truck. Then I saw this boat. Made a crazy low offer and they took it. Rest is easy to figure it out. I really didn't want a big boat. But the one thing that hit me hard was RO Dominic passing at age 56. Life is too short not to enjoy it as soon as you can. So that made me look. I still remember first day I met Dominic at my old boat. He said to me, "beautiful boat but you should of gone diesel". Well Dominic, this ones for you!
 
Wow that was a short my world is upside down period. Can't say I blame you. Give a guy a newer younger model with a lot of extra bells and whistles and we move on no problem. And we do the same with our boats. Good luck.

like many here on BE we realize theat it's not just "a boat"

it's all so much more than that.

I believe your choice of diesel power is one that you will never, ever regret

nor will you ever retreat from it down the road.

So for now, naming and tweaking of equipment aside, get out there and count the days to making some spectacular new adventures and memories.

Dave, I know your Regal is bigger then my searay, but I just got quoted (contract signed) to ship the searay from long island to South Carolina for 3200. Idk what the beam is on the regal but the searay has almost a 12ft beam...

Personally i would truck it all the way up.

Dave, IIRC, it cost me about $7500 to ship from Ft. Myers to Billy's marina in NJ. They had to remove props, radar arch and windshield.

I used C-Line, they were very good.
 
So glad to see Hurricane Sandy did not win this fight. Congrats and good luck with you new & improved Regal. Looks like it will be a Happy Holiday after all....

with those drives more than props may have to be removed. Someone got to the lake they might know something?????

I got 2 quotes. Pods on and pods off.
Just need to see if it is worth extra cost to leave on.
 
Dave, if you are not overheight with the pods on, why would you take them off?
 
I wouldn't but they need 2 escorts then I think, which I prefer.
I think with pods off it comes below 13'6"
With pods on, it goes up to 14'6"
Pods can fit below trailer a little.
So I need to weigh costs of pods on vs savings with pods off plus cost to remove and put back on.
Make sense?
I really don't care about the money.
If I can ship it with them on, then I want them on.
Assuming it is safe to leave on.
If they come off, they need to be crated and I feel there is risk there.
Prefer boat as a unit be shipped.
Just working on quotes to finalize it.
