The suspense is killing me I can't wait to see this finished. Looks like you are making headway.

Looks fantastic! I can't wait to see it popped from the mold. What did you use for horizontal stiffners, just marine ply?

I used the balsa core. The balsa is just to sandwich the 4 layers of 17 oz bi-axle. The balsa itself adds no strength. I added just as a light weight extra support. The coring with the support legs would be adequate by why not. I am adding the last two layers tonight to the horizontal supports. Then the last layer of fiber glass. Followed by finishing the edges around the plug. Lastly spray a coat on the bottom with gel coat with wax. De-molding platform plug Friday after work.

finished the last coat of fiberglass on the stairs and demolded

Hung it from the rafters and let gravity do the work

I have not weighed it but is lighter than i expected. the stairs were easly lifted onto the platform. i used about 28 yrds of 1.5oz chop mat 14yrds of 17oz biaxle 11ydrs of 3/4oz veil and about 17 gallons of resin. the Balsa which weights amoust nothing (6) 24x48" sheets

If i where to guess i would say around 150#

one item that made a big difference was the horizontal stifners in the patform. The last one i made had some flex until i mounted it and put the support legs under it. this one you could almost bolt right to the transome

The stairs with all the curvers really made a difference in strenght vs weight as well

How come no no-skid pattern on stair treads?
