Get-Together 2010((CANCELED))

It's ok to talk to yourself, but never answer yourself..that's not a good sign...

I was with the understanding that you were not going to be in the area that week from your posting "Originally had planned to be in the area for July, but we now may be headed to Niagra on the lake/ Youngstown as we have pretty much seen everything in Alex Bay."

We are still doing Ashtabula - Erie - Buffalo - Barge Canel - Watkins Glenn and and back 7/1 - 7/18...anybody going to be in these areas then?

So when did you want to get together John?...I'm on the river every weekend...Your more than welcome to visit and I'll give you a cruise of the Islands...Are you bringing Hogan with you...
I e-mailed LOTS of invitations to various RO's , but only got one reply...strange eh...
The get-together has been cancelled, but visitation is always welcomed...
 
My invitation must have got lost in the mail.

We are on the Erie Canal in Gasport, small marina 7 miles east of Lockport. We are leaving 6/30, going to Sylvan Beach then to Ithaca on the way back. We are also out to 7/18, maybe we will see you on the way. We have a Mainship 350 trawler named MISSY. Feel free to ping me if you need any information on the canal, it's our home..

Thanks Ron. I may do that. As we get closer I may want to know the water levels. I have some height issues. With my radar up I am around 16' 9". My radar is on pole and if I drop that down I gain 22” which brings me to 14’ 11”. If I get a chance I am going to re-measure now that the boat is in the water. My first problem will be the fixed bridge in Tonawanda.

You will be fine. There are quite a few 36DC that ply the canal. We air draft 15' with radar mast down and have no problems with any bridge on the canal. The lowest one you will encounter is in Clyde, it is probably 15.5'. Unless we have flood conditions, every other bridge is higher than that.
