I tend to believe what the overwhelming scientific community is saying and that is that global warming is happening.
Others can believe whomever or whatever they wish for whatever reason, but if the scientific community is correct and the naysayers are responsible for curtailing attempts to properly address global warming as a serious issue those naysayers will have to share responsibility for the sufferings of those future generations who will have to live with those consequences brought about by global warming.
I've said quite a bit about this already and will not continue to piss into the wind by trying to convince others on this site as to who is right or wrong but just leave it to each individual to decide for themselves if global warming is something to be concerned about.

Well now, this is the same university that was the center of the Dr. Mann email scandal. Now they say ice age is coming. So Marcel, still want to "rest your case"? Or do you just want to admit no one knows WTF they are talking about (which kind of blows the "scientists are in consensus" thing)

scientists all agreed the earth was flat, sun revolved around the earth, planets speeded up and slowed down in orbit, air was the cause of disease etc. etc. Those beliefs and many others were vehemently supported by most of the scientists of the day until somebody came along and proved them wrong.

yesterday a guy was lecturing me on how the fact that Spain was green around 1600 and dry now is somehow related to human induced climate change. His pontification ceased when I told him about the little ice age in Europe around the time Spain was green. Nevertheless he still claimed 97% of scientists agree with human caused climate change. And that somehow makes it correct.

This "new" information makes one wonder. If we can indeed warm the planet by burning fossil fuels, should we not start a "burn baby, burn" program?
