Wow, someone really got his panties in a bunch!

No bunched up panties here. I haven't worn underware in years... LOL

We are all friends here regardless of what marina we choose to keep ours boat at. I was trying to point out that you might be a little off in your assessment of the "Typical Haverstraw Profile" and that there is alot of fun to be had on the south side.

I think everyone is missing the best marina on the Hudson. BAMAR!

It is peacefull quite cove with no waves. What could be better.

Oh Yeah, every time you leave or come in you have to have everyone duck, put the bimini down, and time it in betweeen waves to get under the bridge without hitting it. There are no concerns over depth, only height.

WOOPS, FLipsky a 30 footer is probably 3+ feet to tall, we won't let you in, your loss. You should buy a nice 16 footer so you could slide in.

MJK

I think the object is to move up not move down in size.. BTW, how is the pool, gas dock, pump out, ship store, game room and resturant over in BAMAR?

OUCH, somebody can't read well or misses the joke in there. Yes I miss out on the pool, gas fumes, sewage smell, 6 Atari games, and of course the burnt down restaurant. I do however enjoy the price difference. I think that was pretty un called for.

How were the yellow cornflakes this morning?

MJK

Listen,

I was trying to be sarcastic in a funny way.. I am sorry if i offended you.

P.S. I am not a big fan of cornflakes...

No offense taken, I just didn't think it was sarcastic when I read it. Trust me the only reason I'm there is the price, otherewise I would be at one of the other marinas over there in a heartbeat. (My brother inlaw works there and got me a deal I couldn't refuse)

Anyway, I have had my share of cornflakes (as most peaple have), and I prefer them with milk. No problem!

Thanks,
MJK

Wow, leave for a few days and look what happens...Marina wars, waste and pump out wars and who knows what else...I have only read this one thread so far...Man we need to get you all out on the water again which is exactly where I was yesterday. 98 miles an hour on the F4 Sunsation. (just a little free advertising for you Pete)....

So lets see what I can get stirred up...Ok the tanks at Pancho are empty, they have been for about 10 years now....

As Mike stated, Waste water treatment plant do not dump untreated waste as a normal practice, accidents do happen which most of time is during heavy storms. At these times the dilution factor is so great the waste rarely would effect you. I did say rarely, not all the time....Now as far as dumping into the river, what else would you do it...What water you take from a source has to be returned to it..Yes drinking water does come out of the river and yes it may come from a source just several miles from a major waste water plants discharge. But the any water from a reservoir is just as dirty as the discharge of a waste water treatment plant. The water we drink is contaminated with all kinds of things prior to treating it. Oh did I mention the process of treating drinking water and waste water is the same...

And I do agree, no one should pump out in the river, it is illegal on the entire Hudson now, I think it was 2 years ago they declared it an entire no discharge zone. Its funny to think of it, it still ends up in the Hudson. The pump outs for the stony point area goes to either Haverstraws or stony points waste water plants and they pump it to the river. Only difference is they do do the proper treatment first...

Ok my 2 cents worth, now Im going to go sit and look at the pictures of Miami and start dreaming about pulling the cover off the boat so we can get that last heavy snow storm out of the way....

Any timetable in mind for this Butch? I'll help you shovel the snow off your boat if you get the final snow storm out of the way in a week or so...

Seems you PB people have amazing control over the weather, Hogan's got the weekend sun and Butch handles the snow.... Impressive!

For years my snow thrower was broken. I have all the parts on hand and expect to get to it soon...too many other things in the way. I'm sure once I do, it won't snow again until next year. I really need to get that out of the way.

On the bright side, I sent a check to Precision Boat and repair so he can order my strut and replace it. I haven't been on the boat all frigging winter...not normal for me.

It could be about 2 weeks John...

Ya know Chris, if we take the cover off the same day you fix the mower, perhaps we could void each other other out and Hogan could take over again.

Butch, why don't you just come over and fix the snow thrower for me? Of course, your idea of fixing a snow thrower would be to send Caryl when it snows. I know you have a heart so you'll also send a thermos full of hot soup with her.

How'd that pink snow shovel you bought her for Valentine's Day work out?

No, no, no pink shovel for caryl for valentines day. Dont want to spoil her. Besides that I bought her the new snow thrower a couple of years ago.

This is the year for new waxing bonnets right?

You're such a catch Butch!

No to be honest, I was not happy with the swirl marks she left on the boat. She did ok with the cleaner, then the wax but when she put the polish on you could see the swirl marks if you looked at it from the right angle.

I think this year Im just going to have to break down and do what I said I would never do to the boat.

She will have to compound it then do it all by hand and leave that damn buffer home.....

Yeah, I seem to recall a photo of Butch in a chair with a beer while Caryl was doing the driveway. It's difficult to top that one.
98 Eh Butch, not to shabby. Are we going to see Caryl driving in the poker run this year? Make sure she waves as you guys flash by on June 14th ok?

Ya Dan, pictures to boot. Actually Charlie booted me and got my ride...Steven and Erin went. He was quite impressed with the ride. Said after 98, 70 was slow...As soon as I get a chance and recoup from the weekend Ill post a few...

Pete, Recognize the driver....

Butch, you went to Miami Florida to test drive a boat they sell in Mahopac, New York?

No Chris, I went to Miami to see the babes in very skimpy bikinis, The boat rides where just a bonus!

Butch;

Where are the pictures of the "Babes in very skimpy bikinis?

GPS? gallons per second?

Afraid those cant be posted....Ya GPS could be gallons per second for that boat. It uses a gps for speed. Hard to keep the tube in the water to record the speed at those speeds...

Wow.. This thread has got to be record setting for the most hijacks.. We went from a question about HM to my marina is better than yours to pumping out and discharging in the river to uncovering the boat to predicting the weather to fixing the snow thrower to waxing the boat to vacation pics and go-fasts to Miami babes in skimpy bikini's... Did I miss anything?

Yes, you forgot the GPS....Ah its a good thing I am back!

Oh yeah.. I also thought it was gallons per second.. So does have the capability to switch from MPH to Knots?
