Hey guy,
I'm in a bit of a pickle at the moment. Due to a job, I was forced to move upstate, quite suddenly, about 400 miles away. I still have my waterfront house in Amity Harbor, and my boat is still in the water. I planned on taking care of it in a week or two, but I checked the weather, and it's going to be getting cold! I need someone to haul, via crane, the boat, and winterize, or just winterize it in the water. I've made a few phone calls, and have not had much luck. What makes this more difficult is the fact that I don't know where the keys are. I've jumped the ignition switch before to start it, but I don't know if a marine mechanic would feel comfortable doing that.
Could you recommend someone that does in water winterizations? Or, a boat hauler with a crane? Or, if you would like to make some extra money, and would feel comfortable winterizing the boat, i'd be more that glad to hire you to do the job.
It's a 5.0L freshwater cooled engine.
Heck, I don't even care if i just get the seacocks closed and the raw water drained from the block. It has the air-activated drain valves. I just can't get to Long Island for a few weeks, and i'm pretty concerned.
If you could be any assistance, i'd greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
Dan
