I paid 25 cents per kWH in Italy in 1990. Italy had, and continues to have one of the highest electric rates in Europe for a number of reasons. Today the cheapest price ENEL charges on a use or lose basis is 12 Euros per month for 100kWH of use per month. That equates to approx the $17 dollar per month at 24 cents per Kilowatt hour excluding taxes.
That is a flush over time in the most expensive country in Europe and you are paying over twice that.
That is criminal.
