Looking at replacing the carpeting in the cabin for my folks. Decided to put the money into the boat and have them keep it.

Boat is a 1990 310 Sundancer. Was thinking of wood, or something along those lines, instead of carpet.

I am having hard time invisioning what its going to look like with wood. Anyone ever do this on this boat?

I cant find pics anywhere on the web...

Thanks guys. Ive followed both of your threads. My concern is the cabin in the 310 is TINY compared to your Trojans. Like you guys there are a lot of bends and twists and angles, BUT I dont have much "straight" cuts (if that makes sense)

Was really looking for another 310 dancer that had it done, so I could see how it would look

The size is not so important. If you have a center hatch it is easier, but if not all you need to do is snap a chalk line down the imaginary center of the boat. Place your first plank half way fore and aft on that line or the edge of the hatch and build off that. Allure would seem to be the easiest way to go for a small space because you can literally stick it down with the self adhesive back and cut to fit with a razor knife. If you want actual wood that is a little bit harder to do. It will also take a lot more planning. But for a quick and easy job, the vinyl planks are the way to go. And as Allen points out they are water proof.

Thanks guys. There is NO way I am doing this project myself. Boat is in SC, and I am on Long Island.

Absolutely beautiful job, "Delivering Happiness". I would love to try that on my 1985 Sea Ray.
