After a shake up of there serivce dept I see a huge improvement. Ive blasted them when they screw up , now i have to compliment them for stepping up . There doing a great job. All issues have been resolved. Some minor new ones have been addressed. I couldnt be happier.

Marine Max Service was a oxymoron
It sounds like that has change
I hope all stays well for the season

Good to here !

they have some boats on my short list.

Mark

Boats back... ALL A OK ....

Sadly my serivce guy got promoted... The new guy appears to have the old ss3 stink....

Hope not but we butted heads right out the gate..

Rob

Good to hear that they finally got it right for you, Rob. As for me, since I have the new gas 40DA my service writer is Trina who seems to be getting things done. You just have to stay on top of them but when they have done it, it has been excellent work. Let's hope it stays that way.
Even though your old service writer was promoted, since he did a good job for you, maybe if you talk to him you can get him to have a word with the new guy and set him straight. Otherwise, blow right by the new guy and speak to JD.
Happy Boating & see you on the water,
OJ
P.S. will see you at Watch Hill on the 12th for sure!

Oj yes ill be there....

Jd's a good guy... im all done... boats out of warrty... Its just shame they had an ace in the road division.

Rob

HMMMM.............interesting

What time are you guys headed out there on Saturday ???..... high tide is about 7:25am

Don't know yet, Don. Am traveling with a flotilla out of SS3. Still awaiting time frame. Somehow, don't think it will be til around 9AM. last time when I went with Ciro a week ago, we left at around 9:30AM and it was fine. Once I know, I'll let you know. Maybe you can hook up with our flotilla.
By the way, I love that first spot on the starboard side as you come into "d" dock. It looks like the best one there.

OJ

OJ....We may go out Friday afternoon around 3ish....( soon as Deb gets home from work )....if not then Saturday at 7am for sure.

Don: How does that work? Didn't you send Gina a check for your 1 night stay already. What do you do, go there Friday and pay Frank the dockmaster for one additional night? I didn't think they were open until memorial day weekend and the rendezvous with SS3/MM is a special thing that they are opening for. Anyway, not a bad idea if you can do that. Unfortunately not me, will have to leave on Saturday morning.

Hope to see you all then,

OJ

No..... I registered weeks ago....and haven't heard from her since. At that time I offered but she didn't want $$$$$.
From what she told me was that SS3/MM reserved/rented the entire marina that weekend before it opens to the public. I hope there's no problem with getting there early.

I'm gunna call her this morning.....and see whats up.

Yep, you should call her because everyone else at SS3 who is going had to send her the money of $75.00/nite/person to cover the restaurant dinner & breakfast plus anything else. The dock fees are supposed to paid directly Watch Hill when we arrive but I think you need to contact her because it is definitely a SS3/MM closed event and Watch Hill will not be open to the public or anyone else who wonders in.

OJ

Oj thats slip on D dock is the biggest in the joint.....

Don go friday... a bunch of us are going...
Rob

Good try........but they said that I bought more boats from them then you did......so they like me better. Matter of fact....they said I can have your spot !!

:) :) :) :) :)

Robski: With my lack of boating experience and now in the possession of a 44'LOA x 14' wide beam boat, better save that bigger slip for me. The bigger and more room I have for docking, the safer the other boats will be!!! LOL

OJ

We have all been there......

Have u gone over to tobay to practice ... its empty this time of year during the week...

Rob

Actually have practiced at my home port SS3 as well as at SS3 yacht delivery center basin which is a trip in itself. It is very tight back there and you have to back in from the main canal, go through an "S' turn then make it into one of the slips without hitting any of the other yachts. I also was over at Watch Hill 2 weekends ago and practiced there in a very tight slip on "C" dock. Also, in my slip, once I am in, I have only about 1.5-2" on each side and that's it so it is pretty tight which affords me the opportunity to learn how to control the boat in tight quarters. I think I will be okay. I will go down to the boat this weekend and practice some more. Maybe I'll get our buddy, Double D to give me a few pointers!!!!
Thanks for the vote of confidence.
