When I looked at the weather last night before bed, the forecast was for sun and no wind all weekend.

I get up this morning and it's "cloudy, showers, not as warm" on Friday; and "windy with a chance of rain" on Saturday, with a high of 60...
 
They are just covering all their bases now they can't be wrong!
Whatever the weather is just make the best of it and enjoy!
 
With respect; Let's not forget while we are out on the water or tied up at the marina enjoying ourselves, one of the reasons we can boat at all is because brave men and women died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.

Does anyone have confirmation on when they will light the watchfire at Bowline Park?

That must be last year, This year May 29th is a Wednesday. They let the fires burn for Memorial Day, So they should light it Wednesday night (midnight) for Memorial Day on the 30th.
 
You're right, I looked again, and it was for 2012.

Geeze you guys remind me of what it is like to wait for a Gulf Stream crossing.

But we do hope it pans out and the weekend is pleasant as well as and most importantly, memorable.
 
Well I hope we have nice weather...for at least part of the weekend. But got to say, I enjoyed spending time on the boat last Saturday...even though they got the forecast all wrong!! I think sitting on the boat listening to the rain is very relaxing and it helps me sleep. Something I don't get nearly enough of!!
 
Judy, looks like you'll be sleeping in the rain again this Saturday...
 
A fifty percent chance of rain is a fifty percent chance for sun. Go out. If it rains drink more rum. If it's sunny, go out run the boat throw the hook settle in and drink rum.
Either way, time flies when you are drinking rum.

Last weekend I slept so good on the boat like never before. Slept to 7:00 AM two nights in a row, not sure what changed. Come to think about it maybe it was because I was alone without my wife and the kids!!! :-)
