Just to get us back in the spirit, I thought I'd repost one of my recent posts from the old place...Regal Row.

For the benefit of our new BoaterEd friends, Hot Knots is a marina in Orillia, Ontario, Canada that has been one of the most prolific Regal dealers in the world (now Crates Lake Country Boats). They had won the sales volume award a couple of times over the past five or so years.

As a consequence, we have lots of Regals. One part of the marina, where I hang my hat, we refer to as Regal Row.

Along a stretch of dock, we have the following Regal lineup - 3860, 3560, 4260, 3560, 4260, 3860, 4260 and a 3360.

We think its a pretty site :)

The marina is a very social place and most of us along this row spend quite a bit of time rafting at Big Chief Island in Lake Couchiching, Ontario. We also spend quite a bit of time cruising the historic Trent-Severn Waterway which stretches through 45 locks from Lake Ontario through to Georgian Bay of Lake Huron. The Trent-Severn also forms a segment of the Great Loop, for anyone whose familiar with that boating marathon.

Georgian Bay is pretty spectacular and many consider it to be amongst the best fresh water boating areas any where in the World.

Anyway, just a few reflections of our little spot. More new stuff to come.

Thanks Paul,

I feel back at home again... :) And yes, they look very nice. We've got to get Canada and the others back now.. Thanks for the pics..

Regards,

Hi Paul:

What do you guys have going this weekend? We're off to the Muskokas ... wish I could take the boat with me but no water access ... its just a run about this weekend ... but that is fun too!

Thanks for the pics Paul, I love looking at the row of Regalboats. The pics also look cool and inviting, Especially here in the 115 degree heat of Az.

GREAT pics and thanks for posting them on this site.
Nice to see though that the local POLICE have things in control there already. Looks like they"ve got you all corraled together there for a reason........???...

Thanks Paul,

now this site is starting to feel like home.

has anyone been in touch with Greg? Also, do you guys have the details of the RRR. I might get a new job in the next week. If I do, then I will have a month plus off and so wanted to see if the timing might work.

Jeff,
This year's Royal Regal Rendezvous starts on Saturday, July 28th at Killbear Marina just north of Parry Sound (in Georgian Bay). Saturday night we'll have a dinner sponsored by Regal. Sunday we're off to the Bustard Islands for an overnight and then Monday we'll head to the Killarney Mountain Lodge at the beginning of the North Channel. If you're interested in partipating, please let me know as we already have bookings made.

Paul,

I will let you know as soon as I can. I am in the fourth and hopefully last round of interviews this tues. so if I get the job, I should be able to come, if not, it will have to wait until next year. It is easier to take off time between jobs then during, so this is my opportunity.

Hi gang... my previous nick "Defiant" from the ROC was taken here on BoaterEd so I used my boat name... which makes more sense anyway.

I guess this is where it's gonna happen eh? Hi everyone from the ROC and hi to all the existing residents here.

Hi Martin,

Nice to see you found our new home.. it's starting to look pretty good.. I like you new name.. :)

Have you heard from or talked to Greg yet?? I keep waiting for Canada to popup.. Based on Paul's post, you're probably all getting ready for the RRR... I wish we could come, but look forward to all the pics and 'THE MOVIE' :)

I hope you all have a fun and safe trip... Vaughn, watch out for the turtles please.. :)
Martin, hope you have fun on that nice new Regal and all goes well on the trip.

Joe,

Will you leave Vaughn alone already. We just got him to join the new site and you are already busting on him about turtles and such. You know he does not have an affinity for those reptiles.

HI Paul:
We havn't heard much about the RRR II in recent weeks. I had began to wonder if it was a go. Is everyone still in?

Has anyone seen Dave and Robbin ("Daisy Jane") on the new site yet? Maybe they don't know about our new home yet. Does anyone have an email address to let them know where we are?

Hi Scott. This site is great, and I'm very glad that it is available. How did the new boat shake-down go? See you soon.

Hi Dave:
It's good to see you here. Oh the new boat is great I love the twin 4.3MPIs. No more pump and pray just press the button and away she goes. The Bravo 3s are great too. The shifting is so smooth no more alpha clunking into gear. Then there's the smart craft guages the show you things like fuel consumption, water pressure water temp and so on all in a digital format. The only thing the boat is missing is a generator. I'm going to buy a EU2000i from Honda most likely this weekend.

Are you going on the RRR 07.
