Snow, snow, snow...

Last I was up, all was well but I'm taking a ride up that way tomorrow and will check things out

You didn't stay in Florida long. I guess you like running your snowblower.

Heading back down in a week for 8 days of golf with the boys. I think I've put more fuel in my snowblower this year then I did in my boat.

Yes, happy we packed two weeks ago. It was a smart decision to bIl out and get away from NY, we really lucked out because as soon as we left MD the got hit again. We had to emprovise getting to the 95 from the 495 belt way in DC as it was closed heading south, so we die a little deture and past the police. From DC to Fayetville NC it was just on and off rain. First thing we did was go to the pool! :-)

Has anyone looked at how the docks are at the Stony Point marinas with all this ice. Hate to have to wait to splash because they have to repair the docks first.

Stony Point Bay docks look fine. Haverstraw Marina looks like they have taken on some damage.

I saw last week some piling tilting in HM, they must have had some more damage being the docks are loaded with snow and much heavier.

Thanks Anchor Management. I was the first one in at SPBM the last two years and I'd like to be the first in this year.

I used to be first in/last out on D dock but not sure when I will have #8 ready to go. One thing that baffles me is all the boats in Haverstraw that have no covers or wrap. There is probably 50 boats in the water and half have nothing on them. You would think people would want to protect their investments.

People got complacent after the lack of snow for the past couple of years. They should have listened to Algore and taken this global warming more seriously.

I only wrapped my flybridge and cockpit this year. I left the front deck open to the elements.

So far so good. I saved $400 doing it this way. I hope it was a wise choice. Once the sun gets here it should melt off.

The way I keep snow off my boat is to trailer it to florida for the winter. Works real good. Hasn't got even one snowflake on it so far this winter.

Pelicans are what you have to watch out for. I've seen them make a real mess out of boats down there.

I only had one deposit on my bimini top this winter. The population of pelicans is way down. When we cleaned fish out back ten years ago we had a cloud of pelicans around. Now we may see one or two.
