I think if the three of us raft side by side by side it would probably be a first and people would think they had to much to drink. It would make a heck of a picture. Each of our boats are different on the inside I have never seen your model Do you have standing room in the third stateroom? I look forward to seeing it.

I just don't push it 2300 RPMs I'm in no rush. I do run them hard for a few minutes on each long trip. I was expecting to to get between 1/2 to 3/4 a mile to the gallon it was a pleasant surprise. I would be interested to see what Bob burns at 2300 he has the flow meters to test easy.
 
Dave, how are you arriving at those fuel burn numbers? Seems awfully good for a boat that size and weight.
 
Several multi hour cruising speed runs port to fuel dock very little slow down or ideal speed time. I did much better when I counted short run times with idle time in the figures more like 16.11. I took a recent trip which was about 160 mile each way I believe it to be a fair test. The worst burn rate I had so far was a 4 hour run earlier in the season coming back from CT against tides and wind again I kept it at 2300 RPMs however my speed was reduced to about 17 to 18 MPH for much of the ride I burned 23 gallons an hour on that trip but the MPG were much worse do to the speed reduction. My last boat I installed a Navman fuel monitor to find the sweet spot what I discovered was there was none. I'm very aware of the variables when it comes to gauging fuel burn. This is why I ignored the early season numbers and waited for a real trip before I believe the numbers myself. I'm sure if I were to bump up the RPMs a couple hundred RPMs the numbers would be very different.

I have read numerous articles that would make this hard to believe. But I can't question the pump. Unless someone is adding fuel to my tank while I'm under way I can't see how I can be wrong. If someone is adding fuel I beg you to continue and thank you. Maybe it's the fact that I just learned my boat weighs 4000lbs less then I thought. What ever it is I'm not complaining. I have had other people read my log book and they agreed with my findings.
