Splash dates

Mark

I read a report on the Winni forum from a guy with an airboat. He was out yesterday, and reported that the ice is down to 2 - 4 inches thick in most spots, and his airboat was breaking through frequently.

Despite the way things look, I suspect that it won't be very long until ice out!

Boat was in the water on Monday. Went up there today and just enjoyed being back on the water.

Hope to get out and gas up tomorrow.

We're supposed to splash by the end of this week, but don't know if the yard will be able to bottom paint with this freakin weather. Started this past week getting the boat stuff set aside to pack up and bring down...getting close no matter what, but damn whould it be too much to ask for an april with 65 degree temperatures and only a little wind and rain!!

Nope, I'm spashing on Friday too.

Finally!

We launched last Thursday in Essex. The weather was great, put 5hrs on the boat already.

Went up to RI on Thurs. and spent the rets of the day and most of Friday opening the house and getting the boat ready. Finished waxing the hull just before it started to rain. Reintalled rew water intake strainers on bottom and I am ready to go. Yard guys brought over the Travel Lift Boss trialer and got it under the boat, but then decided to wait until Monday to launch. As long as I am in before the 15th, i feel like I am in good shape, anny later than that, and I feel like I am wasting precious summer days.
