Walter, what time are you supposed to leave Friday? Personally I'd rather go outside then be dealing with the inside route, new boat, new electronics, etc. If the weather is good if you get off to an early start you can be to FI inlet by 10am or so and arrive for slack water after high tide and have high tide for the ride through the bay.

John,
Mark, Rob and Dave are coming, do you want to come as well?

I figured we would be in Staten Island by 6:30 am, does that sound right?

Walter, thanks for the invite, I would have liked to go with you guys but mine is supposed to be launched at 10am and I need to be there to take it home. Actually need to get there early to load the safety gear on, re-install my electronics, etc. I took the day off so once you're in your slip give me a call and I'll come by and hang out with you guys a bit. Good luck with everything, looking forward to seeing the new boat!

I think if you get to Staten Island around 6:30 and leave within an hour or so you'll be good for FI inlet assuming sea conditions are okay. If I remember correctly it takes me 2 hours from FI inlet to NY harbor so shouldn't be much longer than that.

Walter,
Great luck with the new boat...did you pick out a name yet? Post some pics when you have a chance...
and I'm sure you don't need to be reminded to check you nuts before leaving SI...
Best,
Perry

I'm flexible and can go Thurs night or early Friday.

BTW Moving my boat to Freeport this afternoon. :)

Just picked up the boat today, felt good to be back on the water. Not just have to clean top sides cockpit and cabin

In on the 26th cold weekend Lake Erie. Boat is up and running.

I've now had to postpone 3 times. Once due to the paving work at the Anchorage, now 2 days in a row (Friday/Saturday) due to the extreme low tides. Trying again Friday...
