With the odd warm weather, I figured id bring this up now. Pulling the shrink off Sunday and then the cleaning begins... Hope to be wet in a week or so ....

Very Optimistic! Did you watch a different groundhog a month ago? I looking at 30 plus days till it warm enough for the springizing. Good Luck!
 
Record setting 89* forecast here today. I know I'm about 1K south of you, but we never had winter. The exposure coveralls required for patrols when water temp is below 60* weren't ever broken out. To me, that's a trend for the whole east coast. I remember Phil telling us it'd be Six More Weeks, but I sure haven't seen it.
 
Groundhog Phil calling for 6 more weeks of winter was fake news.
 
I love NY. Today it's supposed to hit 72 with thunderstorms late this afternoon. (They began an hour ago - 9:30 AM. So much for NBC's fantastic new weather radar!)Tomorrow there are supposed to be some snow showers in the morning, a drop of about 40 degrees overnight. I'd love to get started on spring prep but I think I'll wait a few more weeks till the weather's more stable. Hy
 
Correction: The snow's due Friday, not tomorrow. That will make all the difference, or not. Hy
 
My new to me boat is still up at MarineMax in Ct.. We agreed on me taking delivery up there in mid April back in December when we closed. They've got a few things they need to do to it that were a condition of the sale once they take the wrap off. My son and I took a ride up there last week and they were confident that they can stick to that date. I can't wait!
Although, after selling my old boat early last June kind of sucked because I didn't have it all season, I have to say it was kind of nice not having to deal with all the fall maintenance and pre-launch clean up routine for a year.

cover comes off April 1st and should be in the water by late April.
 
I Always target first week of march.... Mid march the latest... alittle snow , wind , cold .. its all part of the fun ..

So much for the odd warm weather. lol I'm planning for April 15th.
 
Ice on the creek this morning. How did it go taking the shrink wrap off yesterday?
 
Shink didn't come off... IT was fing cold and still blowing to much.... Didn't help I heard some boats got hit over the weekend and some electronics were stolen. Amazes me people still leave them in .

Looking at the long term next week is all rain .... WTF...

I guess we wait and see. oh and I added another camera to the exterior to cover my stern : P

I'm splashing third week in march come hell or high water. New to me boat. Need to get her to slip and cleaned out and do some larnin'
 
Hull waxed. Shrink still on !

The weather forecast for next 2 weeks is TERRIBLE ... sure its not February ?
 
I think February and March got switched this year! Supposed to be very cold this weekend and possible noreaster/major snow storm Tuesday.
 
I had to push back a few weeks. This is just nutz......I haven't even bought zincs yet.....
