As the boat sits ... waxed , prepped , ready to go. Just need the weekly storm from hell to end .. I guess I pissed off someone ...

ENOUGH
Rob

This truly sucks...... I haven't seen weather this bad on weekly basis .... this weeks two storms and next week looks like all rain ....

Next time leave your boat wrapped till April like normal people!

Started clearing snow at my house at 5:00 AM, headed south to do my 85 year old Uncle’s house, then stopped by my brother’s house to do his for him because he had to go in to work in the middle of the night.
As I’m getting back home a few minutes ago I hear on the radio that we may get another Nor’easter on Sunday.
Will it ever end??????

I'm hoping for third week in April weather permitting.

It looks like that may be when I have to push it back to. Was hoping for 4/15, but that doesn't look like it's going to happen.

Watch for floating debris in the water as a result of flooding from the storms over the last few weeks. Was down at my dock yesterday and saw some some stuff in the water.

OMG , there is crap everywhere... All lumber from construction... WTF is wrong with people. Contractors are obviously dumping . its all 2 x 4 scraps and plywood . DISGUSTING

Rob,
The big problem is waterfront properties, both residential and otherwise, that have the debris and other non secured items on them and the owners don’t secure it before a flood tide.
My dock property is low lying and the area floods all the time in these storms. I pull all kinds of things out of the water and find them on my dock after the tides return to normal.

That's what I implied by dumping .they know the tide will take it ...

Sad

The marina next to ours was caught dumping debris after sandy. I confronted they guy. He denied... but all the old docks were cut up in bundles... ready to go ... AHOLES

I’ve been in Italy since last Tuesday. My Uncle sent me pictures of 5 inches of accumulated snow yesterday. Will boating season ever get here this year? Hopefully Spring will finally begin to arrive by the time I get back so I can at least get the wrap off and get started on the prep.

Six inches of snow on Tuesday; most melted by evening. Rain yesterday and today (April 4). Was able to get to the boat to start organizing the jobs to do before the season begins. Hull needs a washing and a coat of wax. Bottom needs paint. Bilge is disgusting. Cockpit and cabin needs cleaning and waxing. Cold weather due tomorrow and Friday with rain and/or snow showers for the weekend. Someone please sacrifice to the weather gods; they're not happy!! Hy

I scheduled for April 16th. Unwrapped Saturday, did some bottom prep Sunday. This weekend looks like inside/engine prep - change impellers, check hoses, etc. Will bring a heater given the forecast! Hopefully next weekend we'll have a decent day for waxing otherwise I may need to postpone.

I was shooting for 4/15 or 4/16 but have resigned myself to the fact that I may have to push it back a week. Now I’m hoping I don’t have to push it back even further.

Splash!!! Got the call during day yesterday that splashed but both stuffing boxes leaking bad. Got boat to new slip and yard owner came down and helped me out. Best yard experience EVER, not to say last couple years were bad but I'm in a good spot this year.
