Well, here's an update on my progess so far. I have been hand-sanding everything then compounding then wiping down. This has been a slow, painfull process and I'm quite sure I bit off more than I could chew. I've never been sentenced to hard labor in confinement facility, making little rocks out of big rocks, but, I'm pretty sure my feeling at the end of each day would be similar! I have not used the FinesseIt or wax yet, but, it is looking better. I've now completed both sides from the rub-rail down.
A view from the back -
Getting some color and some shine.

The old boat starting to come around.

I still have to to the polish. Should I use a wool polishing pad or a foam one? I will then re-stripe and wax. I just realized, however, how much work I have to do ABOVE the rub rail! Funny thing, I climbed up in the boat, sat down in the back, and realized that after about 50 hours of work, all effort is practically un-seen from in the boat! Diminishing returns! Of course, a cheap camera really makes things look better than they really are.
