Stony Point Bay Marina

No it was not.

G dock is shaped like an "F" with the bottom of the F connected to land. The top part of the F is farthest out in the water and is for larger boats.

The slip I mentioned for you is on the first section closest to land.

Rob, did you reserve a slip for next year yet?

The boat next to me now was in SPBM last year on G dock and said it was great especially if you have kids. He left to save some money as Bamar is 1/2 the price.I think his name is Greg with a 23' maroon cuddy.

Not yet. I am still planning on it though.

Started saying good bye to the dockmates at Haverstraw.

Rob;

Was that what that party was on lower green dock Sunday night? [:-party]

No - That was a bunch of transients. They looked like they had a good time. I went to bed early on Sunday night.

Yeah; I know who it was, we met a little after 11:00 PM.

I wasn't invited to stay long.

Well we just got back from SPBM in our search for a new slip. Not many slips available.

On G dock just the slip on the main dock behind Rommer - I Don' really like it due to the fact of a decent wind will keep the boat pinned against the main dock when trying to get out. The other was G39 which is on the outside of the main dock but the boat next to it looking right in the cockpit.

On D dock there were 2 slips. G44 and 48 - G44 I cant get into since the piling is off centered I wont be able to fit and G48 has a boat in it so I have to double check. How is "D" dock down that end? I do prefer G dock since its closer to the pool/playground as well.

Decisions decisions - not sure what to do.

I just dont know what to do now.

I want to be where there are kids around as well.

Leigh, I guess this means you are not moving over there!

I've heard this comment from a number a people and I don't get it. We had the sister slip across the way with a previous, smaller boat, and getting out was never an issue.

If need be, walk the boat up, hang a fender in the bow area, outside engine in forward, inside in reverse so you pivot the bow against the dock forcing the stern out into the fairway. Back out and off you go.

Of course I could have said if the wind is strong enough to pin you to the dock then perhaps going out should be left to another day! (JUST KIDDING!!!!!!)

I hear ya. I could get out if I had to. Just prefer a better slip. Since that is gone its either G39 or D48.

Leigh - If that is your slip you better call and make sure they dont give it away.

I thought it was all squared away with Wayne but I guess he has not communucated it with the yard mnager.
I am going to call today.

Hogan, It sounds like you might want the slip.. Is that the case?

Alright it's official. THE SLIP IS MINE.. so back off Hogan.. I know you want that slip...
I just got off the phone with Dave and gave my deposit for 2009 season...

I'm perfectly happy right where I am, thank you
